There are many surprising rock formations in Bolivia at around 4500m above sea level, and the most well known is the “arbol de piedra” (stone tree) in the Siloli desert, 200km from the Uyuni salt flats. They are crazy and in all sort of shapes and sizes! They were formed by wind erosions over millions of years…
Note it’s forbidden to climb on the 7 meter high Arbol de Piedra / Stone Tree due to its thin foot!
Wow that’s amazing!!
Yes!! It’s completely surreal in the middle of the desert…..
It definitely is !!
One of the coolest places in Bolivia I’ve been to, nice pictures !
Thanks very much !! Love Bolivia ! ?
great pics. south america is certainly in my wish list, with the magical andes right up there.
