The David Gareja monastery complex is quite worth a visit in Georgia. Located in the Kakheti region, the monastery was built into the cliffs on this beautiful region full of colorful stone mineral landscapes. You can hike up the hill (be ready, it takes a while and it’s a little steep…) and admire the great view onto Azerbijan from there. You can also put one foot in each country ! ok, that doesn’t count as a country visited, but still 🙂
The complex has been submitted to be a UNESCO world heritage site.
