Israel: visit the unforgettable site of Masada

For more than 13 centuries, the site of Masada has been untouched. It is an unforgettable place! laying on the Judean desert with a view on the dead sea, the fortification city of Masada was built in the 30’s BCE.

About 120 years after its construction, the 960 people living there realized a mass-suicide at the announcement of an invasion by the Romans. Quite impressive and stunning to imagine not falling in the hands of the enemy with such a proof of courage, determination and heroism! I highly recommend visiting the archeological site during a visit to Israel. Besides, the views on the dead sea are beautiful!

It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Israel.
