When I went to Kuala Lumpur in 2004, the Petronas twin towers were still the tallest buildings in the world (452 meters high). Built in 1998, they took the title from the Sears Tower (442 meters) in Chicago, and lost it in 2004 when Taipei 101 was built (508 meters).
Nowadays, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the tallest since 2010 with 828m…
