Czech Republic: check out the epic statue of Franz Kafka in Prague

It took about 80 years after his death before a statue in memory of Franz Kafka was realized, in 2003 to be exact, by Jaroslav Róna, a czech sculptor.

This bronze statue is located on a tiny square in the Jewish Quarter in Dusni street in Prague, where Kafka spent most of his life. From his window he could see this little square, and this is where the statue was chosen to be standing.

It’s epic! Kafka is sitting on a headless figure (an empty suit), in reference to the Author story “Description of a struggle“. See for yourself!
