There is a really cool alternative area Ljubljana called the district of Metelkova Mesto. It is really worth a visit when in the Capital of Slovenia. There are no real signs to get there, so just look for “Metelkova ulica” (ulica means street). It is a self proclaimed city, an autonomous and social center right in the center of the City. There are strange sculptures and lots of graffiti there. In the evening, it becomes a meeting point for alternative, underground music and art. Metelkova also has a website!
